So you’re working on your LifeStyle and the unexpected happens, EXPECTATIONS?

For the last two weeks I’ve been working on re-decorating my living and kitchen area on a budget and I’m quite pleased with myself I recovered my chairs by myself, ordered a rug which arrived Tuesday and I was quite please with it. I moved furniture around from one room to another still pleased with the outcome. Because my area is a living space I wanted to carry a central theme throughout. I love the color blue so navy blue it is, I have chairs picked out navy blue of course and a runner navy blue, the rest of my palette is neutral.
The icing on the cake is the curtains that it took three weeks to pick out, according to the online catalog it was taupe in color, bingo I can use taupe curtains.

So I wait and wait for the UPS guy it finally arrives, I take it out of the container and what a letdown. It’s grey in color, what am I going to do with grey curtains? I needed taupe curtains.
So what do you do when you open that package and feel deflated because it did not meet your expectations, well at this point you find a new source of inspiration and for me, and I found my new source of inspiration at the fabric store? It was not what I really had in mind, but I wanted to finish the rooms so I could move onto the fall catalog. It was not ideal but the thought of waiting two more weeks to possibly get disappointed was not something I was willing to do. So here’s to a few hours of happy sewing and creating the opportunity to meet my own expectations.
