What is the price of dedication?

Sunday afternoons for about an hour is down time to unwind and do whatever. We usually watch movies or go for a walk, at times simply hang around the house. This particular Sunday we thought we would go for a drink at the local drive-thru. As I was driving I spotted a young man jogging in 103 degree weather and I thought wow, now that is dedication. It’s unbearable outside and he is out in the heat. I watched him cross from one corner of the intersection to the other.

As I caught another glimpse in my rear view mirror, I realized he had one prosthetic leg yet he was still out in this heat jogging. Then I thought what kind of LifeStyle is he creating for himself? The choice is simple; we spend so much time complaining and whining about the simple things in life. It becomes clear when glancing in the rear view mirror it’s about the LifeStyle we want to live and the legacy we must pass on.
