Leading by Greatness

Today I had the pleasure of a lunch outing with some friends and the discussion was what makes a great leader. So it got my curiosity as usual and decided I wanted to explore this for a little bit. What makes a great leader in my mind is someone that realizes that their greatest asset is People. Can a Mom or Dad be a great leader certainly because it starts in our home our children and families are our greatest asset? A great leader can direct traffic and a great leader invests time in their most valuable asset You.
A great leader inspires you to react to the cause. A great leader will cause you to get motivated to get off the sidelines. A great leader shares their vision in order for the organization or family to see the big picture and buy in.
A great leader is also a great listener; in order to fix what is not working you have to stop and listen to what is being said. Slow to speak but quick to listen.
A great leader is a teacher; in life there are lessons to be learned every day.
Passionate about the cause is something the organization should share and feel.
Inspiring others to Teamwork is a must in any organization a great leader can create a synergy through his experiences for a team organization
A great leader is grateful for everyday and the opportunity to share his vision with his family, friends and organization.
A great leader realizes that his tongue cuts like a double edge sword so he chooses his words carefully.
A great leader does not stand by the side lines waiting for things to happen he participates in directing the team towards making it happen.
A great leader walks the walk.
A great leader creates excitement in their organization.
A great leader will give you rest by alleviating your burden.
A great leader is slow to judge, instead will find the answers.
Innovation surrounds a great leader always striving to give more back.
A great leader is willing to empower and delegate to their team in order for them to grow.
A great leader is creative about providing means for his team.
A great leader knows when to fold them and when to hold them.
