I learned that if it’s important to you, it’s important to figure it out. I’ve heard this phrase several times in my life and I simply chose to buck the system and respond with yeah okay. My son is passionate about music and at 13 years old he has figured out that music is his life-line. It’s his duty to learn how to play as many instruments as he possibly can.
After much deliberation at lunch this week-end he mentioned he was ready to learn another instrument, I finally said Honey but how in the world are you going to make time to learn another instrument?
He looked at me square in the eye and said Mom if it’s important to you, it it’s truly your passion it’s easy to put in the work. At thirteen how and why does he get that concept, when adults find it hard to empower themselves to succeed with this same thought process?
If it’s important to you get off the sidelines of life and let’s figure it out together.
