Remember when!

I Love Summer Vacation Tropical Hawaiian Doodles Vector

As I was working on this post, it brought back such fond memories. Growing up there were five children; funds were tight for my parents so we managed the best we could. If you needed something you better figure it out, there were no cellphones to text or call Mom/Dad for help.
There were however simple things to do to entertain ourselves, one summer we spent the summer swimming with our first cousins, they would walk with us to the neighborhood pool and we would hang out there until we were kicked out.

It never crossed out mind that we needed to find food because we were simply having a good time.
There were days when we would leave the house for softball camps; to work on drills all day, but at the end of the day the softball coach would stop by the nearest 7-11 or neighborhood market for a monster thirst quenching drink. Since we knew we worked out all day long we had no worries but to sip and enjoy.
There were days that we walked with neighborhood children to the creek to fish for frogs and slimy looking gross things. But it was summer time after all as long as we were back home before it was dark and we were not causing harm to others it seemed fine and fun.
To be continued…
